now let's switch gears from Octopi for a minute and talk about....
THE OCEAN:
(Friday, October 10, 2008)

Let's talk about how HUGE the ocean is....
Well first off, it isn't really THE ocean, it is the OCEANS. Because they are divided! Atlantic, Pacific, etc!
The oceans really are huge. They take up nearly 71% of our planet's surface!
The average depth of the ocean is more than 2.5 miles
The oceans provide 99 percent of the Earth's living space- the largest space in our universe known to be inhabited by living organisms! (Like Cyrius!)
More than 90% of this habitat exists in the deep sea known as the abyss, and less than 10% of this living space has been explored by humans! Think about this! This means there could be crazy creatures down there that we don't even know about! Like one-eyed octopus'!
