Sept 10th, 2009: Yet more changes! Well, sorta.... Cyrius now has his own URL, and soon to be on site: you can use either cyri.us, or iamcyrius.com. I'll be putting the focus on Cyrius from here on out, so you can soon expect lots of Cyrius strips!

Aug 22nd, 2009:
Hello! If you are seeing this text, it means we have successfully completed the "behind-the-scenes" tinkering at scritchscratch.com! If you are running into any broken-link problems, just try reloading the page (the best way being to hold SHIFT and then click the reload/refresh button in your browser), or you can try emptying your cache I suppose as well. However, if you do that and there are still some broken links, please report them to me, at christopher@scritchscratch.com. Thanks! Also, in regards to the bookmarking of individual comics, as mentioned in my last news post the links have changed. However, now you will see they are sleaker and cooler! For example, say you wanted the 13th comic in chapter 3 of scratch, the link writes as such: scritchscratch.com/scratch/ch3/13. Or let's say you want the 4th Cyrius comic, the link would just be scritchscratch.com/cyrius/4. Cool, eh? Anyways, enough of all this mumbo-jumbo. Comics to come soon!

Aug 19th, 2009: Well, it's been awhile, and I do apologize for that. After having moved to a new town, I then went off and was doing some traveling over the past several weeks, so I've been slack on the comic dept. I should be into a regular flow of comics soon. And in regards to productivity, I have some site-related news......

The news is that my buddy Andy has been working hard to revamp the site so it will be all database driven! (or, how it works in MY mind: "run by fairies!") THIS CHANGE WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS, but will not affect the look or navigation of the site at all. So what does this mean for you? Not much, except that any links/bookmarks you had to specific comics will have changed, so be aware of that. Also the RSS feeds for everything will change, but I'll make sure that is all clearly noted. Beyond that it means that my life will have been made way easier! (By fairies!) So cranking out comics will no longer be so labour intensive! I know all this is boring for you, but I had to tell someone!

In other stream-lining-related news, I'll be axing the blogger/blogspot.com updates, and will only be posting links on the livejournal site, instead of images. Twitter will remain the same as well as facebook. Thanks for the letters, and support! Shine on!

June 27th, 2009: I am in the process of moving and hitting the summertime running. Soooo comic updates will be reduced to once a week for awhile! But I am sure you will get by okay on those rations. I am excited to set up my new studio and crank out the comics! I'll keep you posted! Also, while packing I found the original sketchs of the creation of Cyrius! I will scan and post them soon, and you will discover his origins!

June 8th, 2009
: Well, today is the official "relaunch day" for Scritch Scratch dot com! (I meant for it to be LAST monday, June 1st, but oh well....) You'll note that the site has been redesigned a bit, to be simpler, and sleeker. Hope you like it! There is now a "Peas!" section, and the Cyrius section has been revamped as well. ALSO...I have done new drawings for all the main pages! Check 'em out! On the "about" page, "comics", "contact" etc. I have tried fixing the RSS feeds, and hopefully they are working correctly now. If not, lemme know. There is an RSS feed for this main page (so every comic that gets posted), for the Cyrius section, the Scratch Comics section, and the Peas section. Hope you enjoy the fruits of my labour! Drop me a line if you want!

May 25th 2009: Man oh man I have been gone awhile. And for that I apologize! I was researching Scandanavian Boars in Brazil. Hilarious comic material!

I should mention that I've switched back to straight-up HTML from the flash site that I had going on before. I personally think flash is fun, but I know there are a lot of script blockers out there and whatnot so I want to make sure things are accessible and easy for everyone.

So the new plan of action is that I won't be updating on specific days of the week anymore. Sometimes it may fall into a pattern, but I am not committing!

Also, any comics, or drawings, or sketches that I do are going to come first to this very page, the scritchscratch home page. Then, you can just bookmark this page I guess, to keep up-to-date on any and all posts that I make. Of course, like before, if all you care about is CYRIUS THE CYCLOCTOPUS (sigh) then you can always just go to his homepage (and you can get there with the quicklink on this page as well).

Excelsior!

Feb 13th, 2009: Well, I have good news and bad news. Which do you want first? Well too bad, here's the bad news first: I cannot gurantee the above comics on certain days anymore. However, this leads me to the good news - which is that I've got three comics on the go, and am doing lots of drawing, and also working on the Peas animations and some t-shirts as well! The bottom line is just that I've got a lot on the go, and try to do all this comic stuff in my spare time! Eventually I plan to do this stuff full-time! And if you want to drop me some loose change in the tip jar to help that happen, please do! Also, spread the word to your friends and family or perfect strangers about the comics here on scritchscratch dot com. Anyways, thanks to everyone for the support, and you can expet at least a comic a week (I'm hoping)!

-----------------------------

Feb 3rd, 2009: Well, this is the new site entrance with fun little things to move around and stuff! What doyou think? I was just playing around and thought maybe it would be fun!

------------------------------

Dec 4th, 2008: Sorry for absence of comics over the last week or so, I was on a small vacation. I guess I should've let you know. How heartless of me. I'm sorry! Please put down the cheese grater, and let's talk about this. I'm back, and I only have eyes for you. You, and the new banner I put up in honour of the Holiday Season. Have you seen it? Just look up. And I'll call Rusty.

Also, I am considering a few changes. I am considering putting Scratch Comics on Hiatus for January, and attempting a second "February LiveJournal Project" in ... uh... FEBRUARY. Let me know your thoughts on this. I'd like to be churning out more Cyrius per week, and get some animations finished, so maybe this will be a way to do that? I need to know what you all think. (NOTE: scritchscratch is the name of the SITE, and Scratch is the name of one of the COMICS on the site....there apparently is some confusion about this. And while we are settling confusions..."boxer-briefs") So yeah. Write me at christopher@scritchscratch.com or if you are on LiveJournal, drop me a line there if you'd like. Now let's have some Taco Salade.

Nov 13th, 2008: Thanks for all your great mail everyone! In regards to the "rejects" page....I will give no hints....but the link is hidden on the site somehwere. Actually, I will tell you this....it is not hidden in any of the actual "comics" pages. As for merch, I've gotten a few letters about prints and t-shirts, etc...I will launch merch soon, but probably not until we are into the new year. So you can be sporting your ironic and clever scratch and cyrius t-shirts in the spring and summer!

------------------------------

Oct 31st, 2008: Happy Hallowe'en! As your Hallowe'en treat, there is an animation (the first ever Scratch Animation) up! You can go check it out HERE. Hope you enjoy!

------------------------------

Oct 23rd, 2008: So, as I'm sure you realize, I LOVE Hallowe'en. And no, I don't mean the fact that I get to dress up like a priest, I mean the good-natured part of Hallowe'en. The kids having fun, dressing up, and just the memories that I have from my childhood and the activities at school and such. I also love the general feel and "vibe" of October. And most importantly this time of year is my favourite time to draw comics. I love drawing Hallowe'eny stuffs!.

In other news, I got some fan mail that I think is important to share:

"Hello,

I would just like to inform you that the poor soul who killed himself in the first comic in chapter 3 had his math wrong. It should read 4y^2 + 4xy + x^2 - 3z...

Thanks

Jenna"

Well, thank you Jenna. It is true that my algebra is a tad rusty. But perhaps that makes the joke even funnier. Perhaps the fact that if he had have had his math right, he would NOT have killed himself. Hmmm? HMMM??? If only I could claim that was my intention. Sigh. What a world.

Oct 22nd, 2008: RSS FEED is good to go! There are currently three RSS feeds available on the site, one for NEWS, one for SCRATCH COMICS, and one for CYRIUS. The reason there are three different feeds is so that you can pick and choose what you want in your feed. Maybe you only like a certain comic, and don't want the news updates, well, no prob! Maybe you want it all! That's fine too! Also, you can also follow scritchscratch comics on Twitter! Why am I yelling so much! Bah!

------------------------------

Oct 13th, 2008: RSS FEED! Okay, so I got some emails about how you guys want to have an RSS feed of the comics, sooo...I AM working on it, and we should be good to go with that sometime this week, I will let you know here when it is ready. ALSO, I want to thank all of you for your mail! I love getting emails from you guys, and if I haven't responded yet, I will!

Oct 3rd, 2008: Sooo... you are not gonna believe this..... remember the first Cyrius comic? Well, today my friend Kqantu sent me THIS LINK. I swear that I created that comic without knowing about that! Seriously! What are the odds of that? That is just insane. Also, check out the "Learn" page in the Cyrius section to get your brain-veins pumpin'! Haha. But seriously, there are just some fun facts there. And soon... QUIZES! (all for fun, I swear. I'm not TRYING to make you learn, really.
